Module 1 Lecture 2: What's In Here and How Will it Help Me?


So far so good. You've made the bold decision to do something about your dental anxiety. Deciding to make a change and solve a problem is hard because your brain does not like change. It takes energy and your brain really likes to hold onto it's resources. So, Bravo! You're further down the road to your goal than you may have imagined just by deciding to go on this journey.

I've provided more than just information. This course is filled with exercises that are crucial to changing your experience. If you could have thought your way out of this issue, you would have done it by now. You have to change your feelings and I've provided the tools in this course for you to do just that.

What are your goals?. This is important to establish now. What do you really want to get out of this course? You could pause the video here to write some notes down. You'll create a bigger list later on, but I'm sure you already have some ideas.

You've heard my story. You've established your goals. Now, here's the course outline, your trail map. Each piece builds on the previous one to keep the experience safe and effective. So please, do the exercises and create some mastery of each piece as you go along.

Just for fun and to ease our way into this tricky topic I'll take us on a very brief overlook of dental history, the prominence of teeth in metaphor, the energetic connection of teeth to the rest of the body, and why dental fear is so prevalent and tooth pain so feared.

Lecture 2 Explores what EFT or Tapping is, how it works, and the science behind it. You'll get the basic routine in written form and all the specifics are explained. And, you'll start tapping along with a video I've provided to demonstrate the technique. You may then choose to work on some small issue on your own for practice. Here you'll begin to develop some facility and ease with the process.

In lecture 3, first, we explore the prevalence of dental fear, anxiety and phobia in the population. Then we'll lay the groundwork for staying emotionally safe while doing this work; and you'll be introduced to some exercises to establish a body/mind pathway to a calmer state of being. These will also be part of the tool kit you'll be building as you go through this course to manage stress.

Then, we'll explore how to determine what your specific issues are (there may be more than you know.) This is also an exercise in learning how to use the feelings in your body as feedback, and not just get overwhelmed by them.. And what to do if you do get overwhelmed.

The next lecture is “The List”. In my research there were a variety of issues that surfaced as contributing factors to dental fear. In this section you'll go through this list identifying your specific issues, and add any that are specific to you.

In Section 4's lectures you take what we've learned and start tapping along with three tapping videos highlighting the most common problems I found in my research. This is where we start to make the big changes.

Module 5 Is about testing our clearing: Did It Work? In Lecture 1, we'll get into the finer details of making EFT Tapping the most effective. And in Lecture 2 we'll take testing to the next level. You've cleared the energy around the statements you've been working with. Now, it's time to take action again and see if there is more to do. You'll begin to practice the concept of choosing how you feel.

Module 6 The Bonus Really Really Good News. You can use this technique for anything! What is EFT also used for? You'll be amazed.
